Not many of us would associate the desert with a place we want to stay or dwell in. However, it is often in the seasons where everything we think is life is stripped away and all that remains is the still, small voice of our Creator we have the most profound encounters. It is a place without distractions, without noise.
As you enter in to “Abide”, there is an invitation to lay down your desires and expectations, to lay down assumptions and long held views that can sometimes block our way forward and our understanding of just how good and wonderful life can be. In the place of rest and surrender, there is space for life to flourish, along with an unexpected oasis or two where we receive refreshment and provision for the journey ahead.
So, come, abide, stay for a while, and as you contemplate with Jesus, allow His living water refresh you anew.
